Title: “Underwater Reign”

Depict an underwater scene with a foreboding feeling where the main subject is an aged proconsul statue half-buried in silt, surrounded by a thick, lush growth of waterweed. Frame the shot so it is balance, with the statue in the middle of the frame.

The lighting is a murky cool blue, pulling in the dread of the deep. Some beams of sunlight make it through the water surface, casting eerie shafts of light onto the statue that create a play of light and shadows.

The color is gloomy, predominantly blue and green of the waterweed. Depth and focus are essential, placing emphasis on the detail of the stone face of the proconsul, while the background fades into a blur of darkness.

The perspective is from a slightly low angle, looking up at the half-submerged statue as though bowing to the proconsul, instilling a feeling of inferiority. The camera angle is straight on, giving an extensively detailed view of the statue. Choose a slow, gradual dolly-in movement towards the statue, heightening the sense of anxiety and anticipation.

The space around the proconsul is wide, giving the impression of isolation, being forgotten in time. The scene ends with a tight close up to the statue’s face, its unblinking eyes seeming to stare straight into the viewer’s soul.
